
These locos were ordered before the outbreak of World War 2 but delivery did not take place until 1940. The 12 members of the class were named after administrative districts of Kenya and Uganda. Originally numbered 77 - 88 they became EAR 5701 - 5712. Karamoja was withdrawn from Mombasa in 1973.
