
Originally ordered in 1926 for shunting, the 26 members of the ED1 class were often to be seen hauling branch line trains. They were the last class of saturated steam locomotives ordered by the KUR. Original numbers were 10 - 36 later 310 - 336. Under the EAR system they became the 11 class numbered 1101 - 1131. 327 was withdrawn in 1976.
327 was used in the film Nowhere in Africa about the Jewish exodus from Europe in the 1930's.
